Paul James to return as Wolves’ Head Coach
The Worcester Wolves have announced this week that Paul James, the current England Coach, has agreed to remain as Head Coach of the Wolves for next season. The Club confirmed that James will also lead all playing and coaching responsibilities as the Director of Basketball which includes both the Wolves and University basketball programmes.
In terms of the future with the Wolves, James said “I am delighted to be back coaching the Worcester Wolves for the 2010-11 season. We had an exciting end to this season winning our last seven games, just missing out on the play-offs. I look forward to these winning ways continuing next season. The hard work of retaining players from this year and search for two or three more quality players to enhance the team has already started”
Chairman of the Club, Roger Clarke said “Everyone at the Club is thrilled that Paul will be remaining with the Wolves. Clearly the BBL team will benefit as many of the players realise that by representing the Wolves and playing under Paul they will improve as individuals as well as being part of a well organised and exciting team. Significantly, with Paul as Director of Basketball, the whole programme and the relationship with the University will go from strength to strength with a large number of players and coaches benefitting from his experience. This is fantastic news for basketball followers in the region.”
